+ Beauty is in the face-filter of the beholder, 2019
While face filters initially introduced by the messaging app Snapchat were playful and innocent, today the majority of them are intended to enhance beauty. Nearly all filters enlarge the eyes, plump the lips, and smoothen and brighten the skin. Although there is no harm in adding a layer of virtual makeup, such filters have detrimental effects in how they morph the user's choices into a stereotypical notion of beauty. They reshape how we see ourselves, others, and our expectations of what the human body is supposed to look like.

The modular typeface consist of 12 different shapes from which all letters can be created. The project was a deep-dive into the minimal needed shapes from which a readable typeface can be created. The typeface can only be used on the letterpress. Giving the user the possibility to create own shapes and play with layering. The typeface is stored in a letterpress drawer.

+ Cursor and big, 2019
The video is an experiment taking the cursor out of its digital landscape and place it in an actual landscape. The mix of these two environments creates an interesting and amusing scenery. Extending the use of the mouse from the hand towards the whole body constitutes an awkward kind of absurdity. The ever so small movement across the screen, here becomes effortful.

+ LeMo Milestone, 2019
From writing to type: the LeMo Method. This project created a big understanding in typography and letter design, from the construction to contrast and the flow of letters to the rhythm in words. The typeface is a translation from the writing using a broad nib pen.

+ Post-SATC, 2018
Although the producers of the series never explicitly associated Sex and the City with (post)feminism it is often seen a great example of. Post-feminism has a different interpretation among scholars but most themes and attributes seem to come back, which are: consumer culture, fashion, independence, sexual pleasure, individual choice and humour. The book is a collection from all post-feminist quotes from all 94 episodes of SATC.

+ Gummo, 2016
The movie Gummo is filled with blue and red objects, this element from the movie is translated into this publication. The book can be seen as an experimental film script, the abstract and close-up images give the viewer a slight sense of the movie. The paper used for the publication is called Stonepaper, which has a very specific and strange feeling. The numbers on all the pages are the time codes, all embossed by hand using the letterpress.

+ STEP, 2015
Each page in the publication is a data visualisation of the total number of steps taken that day. The visual outcome is created by using a simple code made in Processing. The publication almost becomes a diary which is only readable in an abstract way.
